Ford Sells Over 8,000 F-150 Raptor Pick-Up Trucks This Year


Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has been the top seller of half-ton pick up trucks in the world. Now Ford dealers are having a hard time keeping the F-150 Raptor pick-up trucks in stock. Last year Ford dealers sold 7,085 Raptors. Through October of this year, Ford dealers have sold 8,105 Raptors. On average, the pick-up trucks spends about 16 days in dealer showrooms.

Ford had introduced the car with a $38,905 price tag in 2010. For the 2011 model, Ford upgraded the standard motor to a 6.2-liter V8 with 411 horsepower and SuperCrew Cab. The price for the 2012 F-150 SVT Raptor Super Cab starts at $43,565. Now Ford has increased production for the 2012 model from two units per hour to three due to the demand.
