Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) has fixed up their search engine to be more interactive for the holidays. The search features has Yahoo! content integrated with search results for shopping and recipes on top of the search results.

“The new capabilities were designed around making sure our users with really intent needs are being met,” stated Yahoo SVP of search and marketplaces Shashi Seth in an interview with Mashable. “We’re trying to go towards a new kind of search, providing answers, not links.”

The new features are integrated on tablets and desktop browsers. When searching for recipes, you will be shown pictures of dishes associated with recipes. It also has videos associated with the recipes.

When searching for products, you will easily be able to compare the descriptions, prices, and reviews. When searching for products there is a scrolling window that shifts when hovering over it.
