HTC Receives Cease and Desist Letter From Porn Company, Vivid Entertainment

Adult film production company Vivid Entertainment, LLC has sent a cease and desist letter to HTC about the HTC Vivid device for using that name. Vivid’s lawyers said that they are afraid that somehow consumers will think that the HTC Vivid smartphone is connected to the adult video company. Wow.

Vivid said that if HTC does not change the name by next Monday, then they will file a lawsuit against them. HTC has fought tougher legal battles in the past so I doubt they will change the name of the Vivid device. HTC does not have any comment about the letter as of yet.
