I give Aaron Sorkin credit for being able to take a story that did not sound interesting on paper and turned it into an Academy Award winning movie about Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg called “The Social Network.” Now Sorkin is strongly considering screenwriting a movie about the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.

“Sony has asked me to write the movie and it’s something I’m strongly considering,” stated Sorkin at the P.S. Arts Express Yourself 2011 event in Santa Monica. Sony had acquired the rights to Walter Isaacson’s authorized biography of Steve Jobs.

“Right now I’m just in the thinking-about-it stages,” Sorkin added. “It’s a really big movie and it’s going to be a great movie no matter who writes it.” Currently the only research that Sorkin has done so far is reading Isaacson’s book.
