On November 18th, several students in a peaceful Occupy Wall Street protest at University of California-Davis was pepper sprayed [video]. The students refused to get out of the way so two police officers sprayed the protestors at point-blank range in the eyes and mouth. Now these police officers have become a viral sensation. People have been Photoshopping the police into other random pictures. The meme is called “Casually Pepper Spray Everything Cop.” You will notice in the gallery that the Casually Pepper Spray cop is spraying the Constitution, Mount Rushmore, etc.
Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) subsidiary YouTube.com has announced that Disney movies are now available for rent on the video streaming website. These Disney movies are spread across The Walt Disney Studios, Disney Pixar, and DreamWorks Studios.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has signed a nondisclosure agreement with Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO). The NDA means that Microsoft has lined themselves up as a potential bidder for the search engine and multimedia company.
The Black Friday 2011 deals for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) have leaked a couple of days earlier. The sales are similar to the previous Black Friday deals at Apple’s retail stores.
Samsung Electronics has created an ad campaign that directly targets the Apple iPhone. In this commercial, there are a few hipsters waiting in line for Apple products. I’m still shocked that Research In Motion (TSE:RIM) did not include a native e-mail, contact, calendar, GPS, and BBM client on their tablet. These are basic functions that are available on the tablets of all their competitors. However I knew that RIM would be developing software updates in the future for the PlayBook.
