The Federal Communications Commission is seeking an administrative hearing for AT&T’s $39 billion acquisition deal for T-Mobile USA from Deutsche Telekom AG. The administrative hearing was decided by FCC chairman Julius Genachowski. This hearing is add-on litigation for AT&T and T-Mobile, who have already been dealing with the Justice Department in a lawsuit.
Domino’s Pizza, Inc. (NYSE:DPZ) has designed an iPad app that allows people to design and order pizzas. You can design the pizza on the screen and then order it in real life. The name of the app is Domino’s Pizza Hero. You can use the app to knead the dough, spread the sauce, sprinkle cheese, place toppings, and cut slices.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has acquired VideoSurf for roughly $70 million. VideoSurf is a video search engine company based in San Mateo, California. VideoSurf raised $28 million from Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and her husband David Goldberg (SurveyMonkey CEO). Other investors in VideoSurf include Al Gore, Current Media CEO Joel Hyatt, Pitango VC, and Verizon Ventures. It is likely that Microsoft will use the acquisition to enhance the Bing search engine.

FamilyLink is the parent company behind family history content websites FamilyLink.com and WorldVitalRecords.com. The financial details are undisclosed. This is MyHeritage’s seventh and largest acquisition since 2007.
Retail store company Kohl’s has created a new commercial that parodies the song “Friday” by Rebecca Black. Rebecca Black became a YouTube celebrity overnight when her song spread rapidly on social media websites. I never really like Rebecca Black’s song and now I dislike it even more after Kohl’s created the parody.
United Kingdom based Guardian Media Group is selling off ContentNext, a New York based technology media news blog network that was acquired three years ago. ContentNext was founded by Rafat Ali and is best known as being the parent company of the paidContent.org technology blog. Guardian hired boutique bank Coady Diemar Partners to help them sell off ContentNext.
Research In Motion Limited (TSE:RIM) has dropped the price of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet for $199. The PlayBook tablet price started at $499 and then dropped it to $299 through a combination of credits and rebates. Yesterday RIM announced on Twitter that the price of the PlayBook has been dropped to $199 for a limited time.
