Rockstar Games has launched a behind-the-scenes video of Max Payne 3, the third-person shooter game that started its series in 2001. Max Payne is well known for using a slow-motion “bullet time” effect. The story of this game is that Max Payne has left New York to work in São Paulo, Brazil in private security. Things go wrong and Max Payne ends up having to fight through the criminal underworld.

According to the Juniper Global Threat Center, malware on the Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android mobile operating system has increased 472% since July 2011.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) launched the Gmail app for iOS two weeks ago. However it contained a bug that broke notifications and displayed an error message. Google immediately removed the app from the Apple App Store. Now Google has fixed the bug and notifications are now working again.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has launched a music store called Google Music today to make buying tunes for your Android devices more seamless. Google also launched a service called Music Manager that allows you to upload 20,000 songs to Google Music Manager for free. Google Music Manager can grab music automatically from your iTunes and/or Windows Media Player playlists.

In the last several days, Facebook users were victimized into sharing alinks, videos, and images of pornography and violent images. Facebook said that it was a coordinated spam attack. Today Facebook said that they now know who is responsible.

Brad Garlinghouse is the President of the Applications and Commerce Group and the head of Silicon Valley operations at AOL, Inc. (NYSE:AOL). Garlinghouse is reportedly leaving the company. You may remember Garlinghouse from his famous 2006 Peanut Butter Manifesto letter that discussed all of the problems that Yahoo! has.

The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) was introduced to the U.S. House of Representatives on October 26, 2011 by Representative Lamar Smith [R-TX] and 12 initial co-sponsors. This bill is intended to help U.S. law enforcement and copyright holders fight online piracy of intellectual property.

Samsung has tweaked the design of the Samsung Galaxy Tab in Germany to avoid an injunction from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL). The new Galaxy Tab design is supposed to look different from the Apple iPad. Looking at the front of the device, I don’t see much of a change myself. [Gizmodo]
