The Daily Show Makes Fun Of Gameview Studio’s In-App Purchase Freemium Model [VIDEO]

Gameview Studios’s Tap Fish 2 has been downloaded over 20 million times. It is a free game, but the company makes money by allowing kids to make in-app purchases. For example, if the fish in your aquarium in the game dies, you can spend some money to revive the fish again. The Daily Show’s Aasif Mandvi interview Gameview Studio’s CEO Riz Verk in this segment. Verk was told that he should be ashamed of himself for his business model by a parent that was outraged about the game. Check out the video above.
