Microsoft To Continuously Release Software On Other Mobile Platforms

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has been putting a lot of their software on non-Microsoft mobile platforms. For example, Microsoft recently released SkyDrive for the iPhone, OneNote for the iPad, Kinectimals for iOS, Lync for Android, and Hotmail for Android. Microsoft Senior Director of Office 365 Tom Rizzo said that they plan to submit more software on various mobile platforms in 2012.

“We want to work where people work, whether it’s online or offline, and on various platforms,” stated Rizzo. Why does Microsoft not have as much of a presence on Android versus iOS? “Android is more of a consumer device play. But iOS and iPad are mattering more in the enterprise.”

First Microsoft will release the Office productivity apps with Windows Phone. Microsoft is also planning on making their regular updates, improve Exchange Server 2010 SP2, and push for more Office 365 cloud initiatives.
