Vistaprint Acquires Webs.com For $117.5 Million

Vistaprint is a digital marketing company that has acquired Webs.com for $117.5 million. Vistaprint sells custom business cards, coffee mugs, calendars, etc. online. The transaction was made $100 million in cash and $17.5 million in stock.

Webs.com previously raised $12 million from Novak Biddle Venture Partners and Columbia Capital. Webs.com allows companies to easily create websites, Facebook Pages, and mobile websites. Webs.com sells premium upgrades, which include personalized domain names, customer support, email addresses, and enhanced storage for videos.

Webs has helped people build about 50 million websites to date thus far and they have over 100,000 paying subscribers. Over 20,000 new users register for Webs.com’s suite of products per day. Webs.com’s 2011 revenues was $9 million.

In the past year, Webs.com bought Facebook Pages creator service PageModo and CRM company ContactMe. Vistaprint has been on a buying spree as they acquired Albumprinter for $83.3 million this past October.
