Nate Murray has designed a game for the Apple iPad called “Game For Cats” [iTunes link]. It is a free app with the full game as an in-app purchase. The point of the game is to have your cat smack the red dot that is moving around. If your cat hits the dot on time, then it will get points. Microsoft has sold shopping portal service Ciao to European online shopping guide company LeGuide.com Group. The terms of the deal was undisclosed, but Ciao was paid for entirely in cash. In other words, LeGuide.com did not have to take on debt to finance the acquisition. Ciao receives about 20.8 million unique visitors across Europe. The game features Jedis, Wookies, and Siths that are just like the characters in the popular movie series. It is believed that EA put in between $100 and $300 million into this game, but EA has not spilled any information on costs that are associated with development and licensing.

Sojo Studios makes games that promote “social good.” Their first product is a Facebook game called WeTopia where players develop a better world for children in the game and in the real world. As Christmas Day approaches, many of us may expect gifts being delivered by USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc. YouTube user Goobie55 uploaded a video of his monitor being delivered by FedEx. The FedEx driver threw the monitor very hard over Goobie55′s fence and it broke. This video has received over 2.7 million YouTube views since being uploaded two days ago. I can understand that the holiday season can be stressful on logistics workers, but it should not be relieved by taking out on the beating of consumer electronics. I’m sure this employee will be penalized somehow. Goobie55 had to return his monitor because it broke after being delivered.

Google has updated the Google Voice iPhone application. The Google Voice iPhone update is now up-to-date with its sister Android app. The new version of Google Voice has multi-recipient texting, contact autocomplete, support for Sprint, multi-line text entry field, and a 1-touch dialer copy-and-paste. The Google Voice Android app has been able to perform multi-recipient texting for over a month. Sprint Google Voice iPhone users will now be able to send all calls to the native dialer when the phone is integrated with the service. [TNW]
