Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) is recalling about 16,000 2011 F-150 pick-up truck vehicles that were built between September 9 and September 22, 2011. The recall also consists of the Ford F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and Heavy Duty models. About 16,091 total vehicles are being recalled. The NHTSA said that vehicles that do not comply with requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 114, which is theft protection. The transmission can be shifted out of park without pressing on the brake pedal due to brake shift interlock switch problems.

Facebook is threatening to sue an Israeli entrepreneur named Mark Zuckerberg. This Mark Zuckerberg changed his name from Rotem Guez. Guez legally changed his name on December 7th. Guez (Zuckerberg) has a website called MarkZuckerbergOfficial.com. Guez (Zuckerberg) filed a lawsuit against Facebook in January after the social network refused to give him access to his profile.
At the Music Hack Day 2011 event in London, Robert Boehnke was able to use SiriProxy to intercept the communication between Apple’s servers and Siri. Siri’s speech synthesis was then synced to the beat using the timestamps obtained from the Echonest API. The speech synthesis was used for the song “Hypnotize” by the Notorious B.I.G. Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has announced in the past week that the 2012 Ford Focus Electric will be the first five-passenger vehicle to have the equivalent of 100 miles per gallon. The 2012 Ford Focus Electric vehicle will be manufactured as the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan. The car charges in about half the time that the Nissan Leaf does. The charge time of the Ford Focus Electric is about 3 hours with 240-volt outlets.
Elevation Dock is a project that went live on Kickstarter. Undocking an iPhone on many other different docks can be rather difficult. Most docks do not work with iPhones with a case on them, but the Elevation Dock does support iPhones with a case. The Elevation Dock is made out of solid aluminum and it has a gorgeous surface. The product was just a concept with a prototype until it was posted on the fund-raising website that everybody loves called Kickstarter.
eBay Inc. (NASDAQ:EBAY) subsidiary PayPal is going to start competing head-on with Groupon and LivingSocial by offering daily deals starting next year. The coupons will be based on the buying habits and mobile locations of their users. PayPal has partnered with 200 U.S. merchants on this initiative said PayPal President Scott Thompson.
