Above is a video that Megaupload created a music video that features Macy Gray, Kim Kardashian, Will.i.am, Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, Kanye West, Floyd Mayweather, Estelle, Carmello Anthony, Ciara, Brett Rattner, Lil’ Jon, P. Diddy, Mary J. Blige, and several other celebrities. Universal Music Group had it taken down from YouTube. YouTube’s copyright filters removed the all star video, but Google reinstated the video on Wednesday.

eBay Inc. (NASDAQ:EBAY) subsidiary StubHub has acquired Zvents.com. Zvents is a local event-discovery and promotion service. The terms of the deal were undisclosed. Founded in 2005, Zvents has over 600,000 current event listings at any given time. Zvents will be integrated into StubHub’s own event listings, which has about 30,000 events. Zvents had raised a total of $31.2 million in funding. [VentureBeat]

Crown Castle Makes $1 Billion Bid For NextG Networks

Crown Castle International Corp. (NYSE:CCI) has made a $1 billion bid for NextG Networks, Inc. This would form the largest independent provider of distributed antenna systems. Crown Castle would be acquiring NextG from a group of investors that are led by Madison Dearborn Partners. The purchase is expected to be complete by Q2 of 2012. The acquisition will allow Houston-based Crown Castle to provide additional wireless coverage to customers beyond areas that are traditionally served by towers. The distributed antenna systems are a network of smaller cell sites that are connected by fiber to communication hubs. [BusinessWeek]
