Google has been intensely focused on quality control over the Google+ social network. Upon launching, Google+’s policies stated that people must use real names rather than pseudonyms. On top of that, they insist that people do not include “mature or offensive content” including the middle finger as MG Siegler learned the hard way. What I have learned is when you graduate college, it is rather difficult to make new friends because you won’t have the opportunities to meet people that have same interests in classes and organizations. It took me a little while to social media can play a prominent role in meeting and connecting with people. Personally I have met people who I normally would not have ever met before through services like Twitter, Meetup.com, LinkedIn, and Facebook. Sony is selling their shares in LCD panel joint-venture company S-LCD to Samsung electronics for $940 million. Sony is struggling to make profits from their TV line. S-LCD is a joint venture between Sony and Samsung. Now Samsung will now fully own the subsidiary. This deal is expected to close in January 2012.

Intel has notified to their partners that the Thunderbolt technology is ready to be fully released in April 2012. Intel is preparing to launch Thunderbolt-supported motherboards, notebooks, and desktops at the same time. The Russian satellite that crashed through his house was a Meridian, which is used for military communications. The satellite was destroyed when a Soyuz-2 rocket exploded in midair after launching from the Russian spaceport, the Plesetsk Cosmodrome.

LG updated their Facebook page to announced which of their phones will receive an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system update. “LG will be offering the Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) OS upgrade for a range of LG smart-phones which were introduced this year.
