Sony Launching A Music Unlimited iOS App Soon

Sony Music Unlimited will soon be available on iOS. Sony Music Unlimited has already been available on Android devices and on PCs. Head of Sony Entertainment Network Tim Schaaff said that they will be offering a free iPhone and iPad app for Music Unlimited at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The iOS Music Unlimited app will have offline caching for subscribers. This allows users to save playlists for listening when the user is not connected to the Internet. Sony Music Unlimited is not competing directly with Rdio and Spotify. Sony Music Unlimited has over 1 million active users and they have a partnership with CDBaby. Sony has a total of 15 million global tracks.
