Apple App Store Surpasses 25 Billion Downloads

The Apple App Store has surpassed 25 billion downloads. The countdown to 25 billion apps downloaded started on February 17th when Apple said that they would give a $10,000 gift card to the person that downloaded the app or filed a claim in its non-purchase form. The winner would be revealed on the homepage later.

Apple recently posted a notice on their website about job creation in the U.S. The notice said that “the app revolution has added more than 210,000 iOS jobs to the U.S. economy since the introduction of iPhone in 2007. And Apple has paid more than $4 billion in royalties to developers through the App Store.”
