Dell CEO Michael Dell Says That Tablet Running Windows 8 Is On The Way

Dell CEO Michael Dell said that there is a growing demand for tablet computers that run on the next version of Windows. Dell believes that this will help them effectively compete against Apple’s iPad. Dell is targeting the corporate customer market with their tablet.

Dell is currently developing a business-friendly tablet that works with Windows 8. The company will start selling computers running Windows 8 “on the exact day” it becomes available. Windows 8 is due later this year, but the release date is unknown.

Dell is planning to entice business customers by having Microsoft Office applications running on the tablets. The Apple iPad is unable to support Microsoft Office.

“Having a secure Windows tablet that works with all the Windows applications — we’re hearing a lot of demand for that and we think that will be quite attractive,” stated Dell.
