The Sparrow App Makes Gmail On The iPhone Better

The team at Sparrow has designed an app that makes mail work better on the iPhone. Sadly Google has not changed much when it comes to their mail app on the iPhone since 2007. They were so busy building a mobile operating system of their own. At first Sparrow started off as a desktop app for Mac in order to replace the outdated Mail app. People loved the Mac App Store app and started demanding an iPhone app. That app is available today.

Some of the features of the iPhone Sparrow app include full IMAP support, unified inbox, and attachments. You can swipe up or down on a message to navigate a conversation. Everything is swipe away including the ability to uncover your mailboxes, labels, and folders. Sparrow shows the faces of the people that have sent messages to you.

There is a quick mailbox switch and the ability to mark all as read. The app has thread view, pull to refresh, and priority inbox support. Future versions of the app include localization, landscape mode, built-in browser, send/archive, and only show label/folder.
