TweetDeck Updates With Additional Lists, Activity, and Media Features

Twitter desktop application company TweetDeck has updated their software to include several new features and bug fixes. The new features include List Management, Activity & Interactions, and Inline Media.

TweetDeck Lists
Now you will be able to create, edit, and delete lists directly within TweetDeck. A dedicated Lists button has been added on the TweetDeck toolbar as well.

All user profiles now have a “Add or Remove lists” menu item, which makes it easier to manage lists memberships for any Twitter user.

Activities & Interactions
TweetDeck has added two columns to the application to make it possible to see additional activity on Twitter including favorites, follows, and retweets. The Interactions column is now available under the “Add Column” button. It is an enhanced Mentions column that shows only all of your mentions and alerts when you have been followed, added to a list, retweeted, or favorited.

Inline Media
TweetDeck now has inline media previews so that you can view images and videos faster and easily. You can see a small preview of images and videos under the tweet that is related to it. If you want to disable this option, click on Settings -> General.

When clicking on the preview image or the URL in the tweet for the video, the inline media will pop up in a large gallery view.

After receiving feedback about how retweets are handled, TweetDeck replaced the “Quote” feature to an “edit & RT” feature that lets you edit the tweet before sending it out.
