Twitter desktop application software TweetDeck was taken down, but is now back online after a user in Australia discovered that he was able to access hundreds of Twitter and Facebook accounts. Twitter said that the accounts accessed were “random” and it wasn’t possible to target specific users because of the vulnerability. Twitter claims it did not involve getting a hold of account passwords so the accounts are safe. To make sure the situation is safe, TweetDeck is making users that were affected by the bug to re-log in to TweetDeck.
