Apple Now Giving 70% To iAd Publishers

Apple has sent out an e-mail to iAd participants that they will now be paying 70% of the revenue earned from an ad being display in an app to the developer. This is a 10% increase from the 60% that they are already offering. This is Apple’s way of encouraging developers to use iAd. Apple also recently lowered the buy-in for ad companies to $100,000. They are also going to be making the 10% increase in payouts. “We’re going into the ad business because we want to help our developers make some money,” stated late Apple CEO Steve Jobs at the D8 event.
