According to a Convergence Consulting report, about 2.65 million American multichannel subscribers cut their cords between 2008-2011. They have switched to over-the-top services like Netflix to get their video programming. The report said that only 112,000 cable, satellite, and TV service subscriptions were added last year. “The revolution is not coming, at least not for a very long time,” stated Convergence co-founder Brahm Eiley in an interview with paidContent.
