Apple Has Smaller iPad In Their Labs

Apple is supposedly working on a smaller version of the iPad in their Cupertino labs according to John Gruber. Gruber said that the 7.85-inch prototype runs at the same 1024×768 resolution as the iPad 1 and 2. It would have around 163 pixels per inch. It is uncertain whether Apple will actually release the device because Steve Jobs once dismissed smaller tablets as “dead on arrival.”
