Google+ App Gets An iPhone Update With A Beautiful Redesign

Google has updated the Google+ iPhone app. The new app supports larger profile pictures, stronger fonts, and high-density display. “We’re embracing the sensor-rich smartphone (with its touchable screen and high-density display), and transforming Google+ into something more intimate, and more expressive,” stated Google SVP Vic Gundotra.

There is a video-centric design and status updates look like art. “Content so immersive it remakes your mobile device into a rich carousel of beloved memories and breaking news,” said Gundotra.

An Android version with a “few extra surprises” will be coming in a few weeks. The app’s look and feel reminds me of a social news app like Flipboard or The Daily.
