Apple Acquires Digital Music Software Company Redmatica

Apple Inc. has acquired Redmatica, a startup company based in Italy that is known for designing digital music editing applications. The news was reported by Italian blog Fanpage. Redmatica’s flagship software is called Keymap Pro, which is an editor for sample instruments. All of Redmatica’s apps are designed for the Mac. Apple designs two popular music software packages: Logic Pro and GarageBand.
