Mazda Announces Plans To Integrate Pandora Into New Models

Pandora and Mazda have announced a partnership today. Mazda will be joining other major car manufacturers that will integrate Pandora into the radio of their vehicles. Mazda car models that will feature Pandora will hit the dealerships starting in the fall of 2012. The Mazda in-dash entertainment system will have Pandora functions like thumbs up, thumbs down, and track skip. The in-car connectivity will be paid with an iPhone running the Pandora application.

“With more than 100 million registered smartphone users and partnerships with 19 automotive brands, Pandora is well on its way to becoming a standard part of the in-vehicle experience. We are thrilled to welcome new automotive partners like Mazda who are key in helping us deliver the future of radio to people in one of the most popular venues for radio listening – the car,” stated Pandora CMO Simon Fleming-Wood.

Pandora has partnerships with a total of 19 automotive companies and seven aftermarket manufacturers. Currently there are over 50 car models that feature Pandora.
