Intel Plans To Launch A Mini-PC With Cores i3 and i5 In Q3 2012

At the Computex conference, Intel revealed plans to unveil a small form factor PC that would contain an Ivy Bridge Intel Core i3 in a 4×4 inch chassis. These new PCs would are being called “NUC,” which means Next Unit of Computing. Intel believes that these computers would be available by Q3 of this year with a price of around $400. The motherboards of these PCs would be based on the Intel HM65 chipset. The mini PC will also have 3 USB ports, dual HDMI, 4GB RAM, 2 SO-DIMMs, 40GB mSATA, mini-PCIe slot, WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity. Intel is also planning to launch i5 and i7 versions of the mini PC.
