WWDC: App Store Hits 30B Downloads, 650K Apps, 400M Accounts

At WWDC, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that the company is now hosting over 400 million app accounts on the App Store and 650,000 apps are now available to customers. Of the total number of apps, 225,000 were designed for the iPad. Between all of these apps, 30 billion have been downloaded in total. The App Store is available in over 120 countries with plans to add 35 more by the end of the month. Roughly $5 billion has been paid out to developers since the launch of the App Store.
