Sharp Working With Frog Design Agency To Build Feel UX

Sharp's Frog Design on Android
Sharp is working with Frog Design to build a new customized interface for Android smartphones called “Feel UX” later this summer. The new Android experience will be built into Sharp’s AQUOS smartphones, which will differentiate Sharp’s handsets from their rivals like HTC Sense UI and Samsung TouchWiz.

The new Sharp devices will have personalized lock-screens and will allow users to browse photos and widgets without unlocking the handset. There will also be real-time weather display, gender-neutral colors, and a curated home screen to easily manage apps and widgets.

Itsuki Kouchi, the Division Deputy General Manager for the Global Product Development Center at Sharp said that the company “adopted an advanced approach to Android’s concept, features, and philosophy, creating a distinctive device that will ultimately increase the life of the product and enhance customer satisfaction.”

The new AQUOS smartphones will be available in Japan starting this summer, but we do not know when the Feel UX will be in the U.S. or Europe.
