Hotel Tonight Expands To The U.K.
Hotel Tonight is a company that helps people find last-minute deals on unsold rooms with discounts that can hit up to 70%. Hotel Tonight has now expanded to the United Kingdom. Former Jetsetter.com executive Heather Leisman has joined Hotel Tonight as a managing director for Europe. They will be opening an office in the Shoreditch area in East London where many other tech companies are in the city.
“We’re excited to be part of the tech scene in London and we’ll be acting like a local startup in the way we hire and operate,” said Hotel Tonight CEO Sam Shank in an interview with TechCrunch. Hotels in London that are working with Hotel Tonight include Belgraves, Blakes Hotel, Chancery Court Hotel, The Langham, etc. Hotel Tonight expanded at the perfect time since the London Olympics are starting soon.
Hotel Tonight recently raised $23 million in Series C funding led by U.S. Venture Partners. Existing investors that participated in that round include Accel Partners, Battery Ventures, and First Round Capital.
