RUMOR: Turner In Final Stages Of Acquiring Bleacher Report For $200 Million

Time Warner’s cable network subsidiary Turner is in the final stages of acquiring Bleacher Report for $200 million. Bleacher Report is a network of sports websites that is built on content contributed by freelancers and users. The company is run by former Yahoo! executive Brian Grey. Turner and Bleacher Report have been circling each other for a deal for a while now. The companies returned to the board room this past spring. They “haven’t agreed on final terms, but are now negotiating exclusively and have agreed on a price,” said AllThingsD. Based on our reports, Bleacher Report has raised over $30 million in funding. Turner is also rumored to be auditing Mashable for an acquisition.
