Orbitz Allegedly Shows Mac Users Higher Prices

According to reports by the Wall Street Journal, Orbitz.com is not necessarily showing Mac users the best deals. Apparently this initiative is part of Orbitz’s “predictive analytics” measure in order for them to gain more revenue. The study showed that Orbitz users using an Apple computer typically spend as much as 30% more than people that search for accommodations on Windows.

The WSJ said that Forrester Research found that the average household income for adult owners of Mac computers is $98,560. Apparently they do not realize that some people buy their Mac laptops and desktops from eBay. The average household income that use Windows have an income of roughly $74,452.

Why should Mac users pay more? I think that is a load of B.S. Orbitz needs to fix this or they will see the number of Mac users visiting their website drop.
