U.K. Judge Rules HTC Does Not Infringe Apple Patents
U.K. Judge Christopher Floyd has made a ruling today that HTC phones do not infringe Apple patents. Apple filed a patent infringement lawsuit against HTC saying that the Taiwanese based company is violating their slide-to-unlock patent and several others that relate to touch-screens on mobile devices.
“Competition is healthy, but competitors should create their own original technology, not steal ours,” said Apple in a statement to Bloomberg. HTC said that they are happy with the ruling and said that they are disappointed with Apple for continuing to favor competition in the courtroom over the marketplace. This article was written by Amit Chowdhry.
