Square To Expand Internationally
Mobile payments company Square will be expanding internationally soon said Square CEO Jack Dorsey. Dorsey was one of the founders of Twitter and was invited to speak at a panel about innovation at the Allen & Co. media conference in Sun Valley, Idaho. “I don’t know what I’ll be talking about exactly,” said Dorsey when talking to reporters.
“We’re having a lot of fun [at Square]” said Dorsey. “We just keep building, and we’re excited because we’re going outside the U.S. soon.” Square is based in San Francisco and makes credit card readers for tablets and smartphones.
Square charges a fee of 2.75% on every transaction. The company has funding from Khosla Ventures, Sequoia Capital, and Kleiner Perkins. This article was written by Amit Chowdhry. You can follow me at @amitchowdhry or on Google+ at +AmitChowdhry
