Copious Raises $5 Million In Series A

Copious is a San Francisco based company that is an online marketplace.  Copious has raised $5 million in Series A, led by Foundation Capital.  Google Ventures and Relay Ventures participated in this round.  All 3 companies previously participated in Copious’ $2 million seed funding.  Copious launched in beta around June 2011.  It is similar to eBay in the sense that people can buy and sell used items, but you have to connect your Copious account to your Twitter and Facebook.  Copious has thousands of users and their primary user base is women between the ages of 18-40.  Copious plans to use the funding to expand their team.  They currently have about 12 employees.
