Apple Contacts Retailers and Wireless Carriers To Have Samsung Products Removed

Apple was able to halt the sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Nexus.  FOSS Patents is reporting that Apple has started contacting retailers that are selling Samsung products to cease and desist.  In June and early July, several retailers received letters to stop selling the two devices.  “Apple’s menacing letters greatly overreach, incorrectly claiming that third-party retailers are subject to the prohibitions of the preliminary injunction, which they clearly are not,” said Samsung in a court filing.  However Judge Lucy Koh said that Samsung is permitted to sell their existing inventory.  Sam’s Club still has the tablet in stock and they are looking at the court’s order and evaluating how it will impact them.
