Dropbox Looking Into Why Users Are Being Spammed
Dropbox is looking into why some of their users are reporting that they have received spam in the e-mail accounts that were created exclusively for the service. TechCrunch is reporting that users in the Dropbox forums are pointing to spam e-mail from an entity called “Euro Dice Exchange.” Dropbox said:
We‘re aware that some Dropbox users have been receiving spam to email addresses associated with their Dropbox accounts. Our top priority is investigating this issue thoroughly and updating you as soon as we can. We know it’s frustrating not to get an update with more details sooner, but please bear with us as our investigation continues.
There is a possibility that this issue is only affecting European Dropbox users. If you have receive the odd spam e-mail, let us know in the comments. This article was written by Amit Chowdhry. You can follow me at @amitchowdhry or on Google+ at +AmitChowdhry
