Ford RUTH Robot Measures Interior Comfort Of Vehicles

Ford has a way to measure the interior comfort of their vehicles using a robot called Robotized Unit for Tactility and Haptics (RUTH).  RUTH looks similar to the robots you will find at the assembly line in a Ford factory.

The robot uses math to prove that the interior of a Ford is comfortable and that the company is able to reproduce the same level of finish and comfort in their vehicles.

RUTH is able to feel the touch of the buttons inside of the car and judge whether they are just right or not.  RUTH is a giant arm that has 6 joints and is programmed to poke at the interior trim and turn knobs.  Check out the video below:
