YouTube Now Lets You Blur Faces When Uploading Videos

YouTube has created a feature that lets people blur faces in submitted videos. This feature was designed specifically for human rights activists and others that may want to protect people in a video.

You can blur the faces using a provided tool before submitting it.

The tool will appear in the “Additional feature” section under the editing enhancements. YouTube warned that blurring faces may not guarantee anonymity.

YouTube believes that this feature “allows people to share personal footage more widely and to speak out when they otherwise may not.”
