This morning the Apple iPad was made available in China. For one of the first times, chaos did not erupt in the lines like it did for the iPad 2. The Wall Street Journal pointed out that at a major Apple Store location in Beijing there was about 40 people lined up and they quietly walked inside the doors at 8AM. Apple did use a reservation system in China where customers could reserve their iPads online and then pick them up at stores on launch day. At this same store last year, hundreds of people mobbed the store during the launch of the iPad 2.
