MC Chris Apologizes For Kicking Fan Out Because Of A Tweet
MC Chris is a singer and comedian that is probably the first rapper to have an audience member kicked out because of a tweet that criticized the concert. He felt so bad after kicking out the audience member that he posted a weepy apology on the Internet shortly after. This past Tuesday in Philadelphia, Mike Taylor posted a tweet that criticized MC Chris’ opening act Richie Branson. When Taylor walked out to get a drink, the crowd went crazy when Chris called out a person that tweeted and asked for his real name from the stage while Branson was singing.
“I wasn’t digging his opener, Richie Branson. I felt his lyrics were lame and pandering to us gamers and other assorted nerd fans,” said Taylor. “I also didn’t think his delivery was good and his beats were mostly sampled from others songs and music (from games, anime and whatnot. I didn’t like any of it, so I went on Twitter and Tweeted, ‘Dear nerd rapper opening for Powerglove/mc chris. You’re not good enough to pander to me. Better luck next time.'”
After hearten MC Chris going crazy about the tweet, he walked back in and raised his hand. Chris yelled “security, is going to take you the f— out now! That’s what you get for talking s— on Twitter!” Taylor described his experience on Reddit and said it was shocking and humiliating.
Taylor has been an MC Chris fan since 2004. He got a refund and an apology from Chris on Twitter. “It wasn’t right, it wasn’t cool. I did the wrong thing. I definitely made a mistake,” said Chris in his YouTube apology. Chris often has fans removed for being drunk and disorderly.
