Windows 8 Store Announces Developer Terms and 7-Day Trial

Microsoft has announced the terms on how apps will be released through the Windows 8 application store. All paid apps will cost at least $1.49, which is different from the $0.99 starting point that most other app stores have. Microsoft is implementing a 7-day “try before you buy” setup with the apps, which will let you opt-out of the full purchase if you do not want the app anymore. Microsoft’s incentive to developers is that they will take a 30% cut just like other app stores, BUT they will only take 20% once your app starts earning $25,000 in sales.
