Oracle Acquires Xsigo Systems

Oracle has acquired network virtualization company Xsigo Systems for an undisclosed amount of money this morning. Xsigo designs virtualization software for companies like eBay, Verizon, and British Telecom. Their software enables servers to connect to any network and storage. This is Oracle’s sixth acquisition this year. Other companies they have acquired include Skire, Involver, Vitrue, and Collective Intellect. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and approvals. [TNW]
