DirecTV Loses 52,000 Subscribers


DirecTV has announced today that they have suffered a net loss of subscribers for the first time in history in a second quarter filing.  DirecTV reported that this is due to tighter credit policy and a change of focus towards “higher quality” customers.  Revenues are up 7% at $5.65 billion and net profit is at $604 million.  The total number of subscribers lost at 52,000.
