Honeywell Signs Patent Deal With Microsoft

Did you know that every time an Android device is sold, Microsoft gets some kind of cut from the manufacturers?  This is because Microsoft strikes a patent licensing deal with Android manufacturers if they want to avoid a lawsuit by paying royalties to the software giant.  Microsoft is forcing companies like Velocity Micro, Onkyo, Wistron, Coby, Aluratek, HTC, Samsung, etc. to pay them royalties on every Android device sold.  As a matter of fact, Microsoft now collects royalties on 70% of Android-based devices.  Now they will start collecting royalties from Honeywell.  Microsoft will now let Honeywell sell devices like the Android-based Dolphin 7800 without a lawsuit to deal with.
