iMore: Apple Starts Taking Pre-Orders For New iPhone On Sept. 12

Apple is expected to start taking pre-orders for the next generation iPhone on September 12th, which is the same day that the company is expected to announce the device.  Generally Apple waits a few days after a hardware event before letting customers pre-order.  The target date for availability is believed to be October 5th.  Nothing is official yet and the dates are just a rumor with iMore.com sources.
