Gartner: Mobile Phone Sales Fell 2.3% This Quarter As Users Await New iPhone

Research firm Gartner has reported that worldwide mobile phone sales have dropped 2.3% this quarter as buyers are waiting for the next big smartphone like the new iPhone. Of the 419 million devices sold in the last 3 months, Samsung, Nokia, and Apple received a majority of the sales. ZTE and LG were still in the top five though. Android is the most popular mobile phone operating system with 64.1% of all new handsets. Below is a breakdown of the numbers.
