Zynga is expanding from in-app purchases to spend real money on gambling apps.  In an earnings call last month, Zynga said that they will be creating games where people can gamble.  Now public documents say that Zynga has spent around $75,000 in lobbying fees last quarter.  Zynga is pushing for a bill that would let companies offer online poker in California after passing a background check and pay $30 million for a 10 year license.  Zynga Poker is one of the company’s most popular games, but it does not allow players to cash out their virtual chips.
