BlackBerry 10 Full Touch Device To Have 768 x 1280 Pixel Screen

RIM Logo

When RIM releases their BlackBerry 10 devices in early 2013, some will have a QWERTY keyboard and some will have a touchscreen.  The BlackBerry 10 “full touch” device will have a resolution of 768 x 1280 (16:10) pixels to start with.  RIM will also be launching a Bold-like device with a resolution of 720 x 720 pixels (1:1).  Knowing the aspect ratio is great for BlackBerry developers so they know how to start designing apps in time for BlackBerry 10 release.  Note: Some of the information in this article has been corrected (see comment #1)

  1. Pixels says:

Hi Amit, I guess you need to learn math in school. 16:9 is a ratio which means 16/9 = 1.777777 and 768×1280 is not 16:9 as 768/1280 is 1.666666 which is the 16:10 ratio not 16:9. To be 16:9 it has to be 720×1280 or 768×1366.
