Google Hires Barclays To Help Sell Motorola’s Home Business

Google is planning to sell off the unit within Motorola Mobility that sells set top boxes to cable television companies.  Google has hired Barclays Plc to find buyers for Motorola’s home division.  There is speculation that Google could get around $2 billion from the sale.  The sale is in very early stages as of right now.  Rumor has it that Motorola had attempted to sell off the home business unit in 2009 for over $4 billion.
